About the Role
ABOUT THE COMPANY A specialized manufacturer of industrial drones, focusing on computer vision, robotics technologies, AI, security, and peripheral integration for autonomous drone systems.
THE ROLE Improve performance and develop new algorithms for drone collision and obstacle avoidance. Work with depth information from onboard sensors to create robust, real-time algorithms that run at the edge on compute-restricted platforms. Collaborate closely with the Flight Controls team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and improve collision and obstacle avoidance algorithms
- Work with depth sensor data and handle noise robustness
- Create real-time algorithms for edge computing platforms
- Collaborate with the Flight Controls team on drone control integration
- Implement effective CAN/UART communication
- Test algorithms in simulation and real-world drone tests
- Document code and processes
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Solid knowledge of C++ and related tools
- Effective communication skills
- Passion for improving products
- Good documentation habits
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Python and Bash scripting
- Conversational English/Japanese as a second language
